Joe Gibbs claims to have ‘worked hard to keep Kyle Busch with JGR
Joe Gibbs and Kyle Busch
Kyle Busch surprised everyone with his RCR move. The veteran ended his 15-year tenure at Joe Gibbs Racing and signed a multi-year contract with Richard Childress Racing. He will leave the No:18 JGR crew at the end of this season as the greatest driver ever to drive a Toyota in the cup.
Kyle Busch is set to drive the No:8 Camaro ZL1 Next Season. He will replace Tyler Reddick who is contracted to leave RCR in 2024 to 23X1 Racing. Kyle Busch’s Truck series outfit, KBM will also make the move from Toyota to Chevy.
JGR’s failure to find a suitable sponsorship replacement for the outgoing MARS is one of the major reasons that contributed to the failed contract extension of Busch. There were also claims that Joe Gibbs didn’t work hard to keep Busch. The JGR boss has now come forth claiming he has worked hard to keep Busch with them.
