Two-time Cup Series champion Joey Logano made a surprising admission about the fans of NASCAR recently. He claimed that the premier stock car racing fans are spoiled because unlike in every other sport, they get to meet and greet the drivers even just five minutes before a race even starts. His words inflicted a lot of discussion in the racing community.
Logano has positive intentions saying the fans have the opportunity to enjoy racing up close, which no sport can offer them. It caused a lot of uproars and many valid criticisms came the way of Logano, who could’ve chosen better words to explain his point. But some comments went beyond and angered Logano.

The Team Penske racing driver has responded to the criticisms and clarified his message. But before explaining his true intentions to the claims, Logano used the opportunity to give a tern response to the critic that went beyond the limit and attacked him instead of criticizing. He admitted that he got mad and frustrated about the comments from “uneducated people.”
When I heard some other under-educated people saying about what I am and what I do and attacked me, it frustrated me and made me mad. And I thought I needed to clear this up.Logano said, as reported by heavy.com.
Joey Logano explains his fans are spoiled claim
Logano proclaimed his love for the NASCAR fans and all the racing fans and reiterated his claims on how much access fans are getting to the sport. He claimed that most of the drivers on the grid including himself always try to meet all the fans they could possibly get to during race weeks.

The bottom line is, I love my race fans. I love all race fans. And the facts are, we give great access. I might not be able to meet every single fan that's at the race track, that's impossible for me. I can't do it. But I get as many as I possibly can and I do a lot of appearances away from the race track that fans are able to come to. A lot other race car drivers do that.
There was a lot of uproar from the fans because they got offended by the words of the champion. Logano could have farmed his words better and been a bit soft about it. But at the same time, his words don’t give anyone in the NASCAR community the right to personally attack him, as they won’t fit in the spectrum of criticism.
