Netflix released NASCAR: Full Speed on January 31st, 2024. It’s a five-episode-long NASCAR documentary series featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the 2023 Cup Series season. It featured some of the star drivers of the sport, including Kyle Larson, Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, and Denny Hamlin as the racer with the most screen time.
The show did well in the first week, as it was able to get into the top-10 most streamed shows list in North America, Australia, and some parts of Europe. Two-time NASCAR Cup champion Joey Logano was one of the show’s main focus as he was more than just a veteran with a character; he was also the defending champion.

He recently shared some hilarious moments from the production of the show soon after he was eliminated from the playoffs. Logano was followed to his motorhome by the Netflix camera crew and was determined to get some content. Despite being frustrated, the Ford driver kept his calm and let them continue shooting. But he asked them to stop once they started shooting him, taking off the race suit.
I walk up into the hauler they follow me into the hauler, I'm starting to get undressed and at that point, I'm like 'Okay guys that's going to be the line. You're not gonna watch me get undressed; it's not that type of show.'Logano said via NASCAR SiriusXM.
Joey Logano purposely refused to give them the content Netflix won’t
While detailing the story, Logano explained how focused he was about not showing his frustration on Camara as he was fully aware that his potential outburst after playoff elimination would easily make the final cut. So, he kept his cool despite being pissed off by the race result as well as the camera crew.
I'm walking back to the hauler and these cameras are still there and I'm obviously mad because my season's over, right? I'm pissed off. All I want to do is tell them to shut these cameras off, I've had enough. But I know if I say something that's the clip they want. I'm walking back, trying to stay calm.
Potentially the 2024 edition of the series will feature more such hilarious content about the driver while also giving original documentation of the sport. The show’s success can bring many benefits to NASCAR and the teams.
