Ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series race at COTA, Ford driver Joey Logano spoke to the press about a lot of things that may improve NASCAR and make it more appealing to Motorsports fans. One of the major suggestions made by the two times Cup champion was the increase in horsepower, which has been a long-time demand of most of the drivers.

Joey Logano broken down the horsepower difference between Formula 1 and NASCAR. According to him, NASCAR can make itself entertaining for the fans as well as the drivers if they increase their Horsepower to 1000 from 700-800. His suggestions were inspired by the fact that F1 is running 1000HP cars in COTA, the only track both the premier open wheel and stock car racing series race in.

I'd give the cars 1,000 horsepower, Adding power would help our racing, The cool factor would be there that fans would like. You'd see cars do something that's unachievable to a lot of people. F1 cars generate 1,000 horsepower; NASCAR is roughly 750 to 800.

The increase in Horsepower would definitely make NASCAR faster and more enjoyable to watch for fans. Fans will also be able to expect more brilliant displays of racing and just a more overall thrilling experience if it is increased to 1000.

The COTA circuit is the only track that hosts both Formula 1 and NASCAR, therefore it has a huge Formula 1 fan presence. Ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series race at COTA Ford driver Joey Logano had a compelling argument on why Formula 1 fans should indulge in NASCAR during the race weekend.

The driver spoke about the constant wheel-to-wheel action that Formula 1 fans will be able to experience while watching NASCAR. Moreover, he spoke about the differences in racing conditions between the two racing categories.

Our race product is unique, the cars are all over each other, bumping and banging. F1 is definitely interesting in its own way, but when a car makes a pass...For us, we're passing almost every lap, shucking and jiving.

Logano also made a quirky remark about the different winners in NASCAR in comparison to Formula 1, where only one driver or team seems to be dominating. Only time will tell if Formula One fans believe the Ford Mustang Dark Horse’s statements after watching the race at COTA this weekend.
