Stewart Haas Racing legend Kevin Harvick retired from the NASCAR Cup series after his final appearance in the 2023 season finale at Phoenix. He has confirmed that he will not want to return to the top tier but has kept the door open for Truck and Xfinity series appearances. He is focused on succeeding in the Fox broadcaster seat he will take up next season.

It seems like another major change is coming to their life, and they might potentially change their residence to an iconic mansion. Harvick and his wife, DeLana Harvick, have purchased the mansion that was featured in the movie “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky.”  It was the residence used by the main character, Ricky Boby, in the movie. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, it cost them $6.75 million.

Will Ferrell played the character of Bobby in the cult-classic NASCAR spoof movie. The movie that premiered in 2006, the peak year of NASCAR, collected a gross revenue of $167 million. The film was shot in the Charlotte area, the Mecca of NASCAR, where many stock car racing teams were headquartered.

The couple already owns a house in South Charlotte. The couple bought in 2014 for a whopping $3.34 million. They have also sold some premier properties they owned last decades. This includes the sail of the Triad region estate in 2015 for $2.3 million and a 110.5-acre property sold in 2013.

What are the features of the Lakefront Mansion?

The 1200 sq.feet mansion is situated in a European-style estate that is 1.3 acres. The house was built in 2002, and it was sold in 2018 for $4 million before a massive renovation project that brought in some serious upgrades to the property.

The house has six bedrooms and six full and three half bathrooms. It has a gourmet kitchen with a Wolf stove, double ovens, two dishwashers, and built-in charging stations on the island. It has billiards, a dartboard, a projector screen, and a panic room with a valet door.

Harvick bought the house for $3.25 million, then the asking price, and it got him some high-end luxury features. It has two docks, a beach area, a fire pit, an infinity pool, a hot tub, and a boat lift. It’s still unclear whether the couple will be moved to the gated Connor Quay neighborhood.
