The 2023 NASCAR Pocono Cup race VIP stand will witness three high-ranking US Air Force officials watching the race. Kristyn Jones, the Air Force Assistant Secretory and acting Under Secretary, will attend the HighPoint.com 400. She replaced President Joe Biden’s appointee Gina Ortiz, the first openly lesbian woman to serve as the under-secretary for any service branch, after her resignation.
Brigadier Generals Christopher Amrhein and John Pippy will join Kristyn Jones. Jones is responsible for overseeing the $205 billion Air Force budget and also oversee the welfare of approximately 700,000 personnel. Amrhein is the Commander Air Force Recruiting Service, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, and Pippy is the Land Component Commander for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
The trio hopes to witness another solid race week along with the NASCAR fans at the tricky triangle. With just six more races left in the regular season, the drivers will bring their A-game to the track. HMS’s Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman, alongside Bubba Wallace and Daniel Suarez, are drivers in the battle for a playoff spot to look forward to on Sunday.
Speedway Media also confirms the Air Force’s involvement in the pre-race proceedings. For the cup event, KC-135, 171st Air Refueling Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard (T-3 to T-1), will do the flyover, and the U.S. Air Force Band of the Northeast will lead the singing of the National Anthem. KC-46, 305th Air Mobility Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ (T-3 to T-1), will do the Xfinity Series ceremonial flyover.

One of the talented country music prodigies in the state, Warren Zeiders, will be another renowned face set to make an appearance in the 400-mile race at Pocono. The Hershey resident rose to fame last year after releasing “Ride the Lightning,” a platinum-certified debut single, while still a collegiate star athlete.
He marked his place in the music industry by releasing his next superhit song, “Pretty Little Poison,” this year. This positions him as Nashville’s newest headliner. It is a city known for its music, culture, and concerts. The NASCAR Nashville Cup race winner is rewarded with the Guittar to honor the rich music culture of the City.
The race will also see other VIP attendees, such as Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry and Ronnie Mund from the renowned Howard Stern Show. They will witness the top Air Force trio being recognized as part of pre-race activities, along with other ceremonies.
