The start of 2023 was a weird experience for Kyle Busch and their family; following Busch’s struggling final year with Joe Gibbs Racing, they embarked on a new journey with Chevy. From the 2022 season finale, he was busy with many businesses, including preparing for the next season.

In January, the family went to Mexico for a vacation and had a thrilling experience till they reached Airport to fly back to the USA. The Mexican Airport authorities detained Busch after he was found carrying a handgun in the country without permission. Busch claimed that it got into his bag in an accident.

He was allowed to return home with his family after a legal procedure. Busch was open about it to NASCAR, as a failure to report could have ended in sanctions. The family soon moved on from the incident, and the carbon vacation will allow them to try to get over any potential trauma prompted by the incident.
