NASCAR cup drivers will go hard on each other once again, this time at Bristol Motor Speedway. The third round of playoff racing will host desperate playoff contenders going hard on each other and the rest of the field as none of them have been to victory lane in the previous two rounds of post-season races.

Kyle Busch will be one of the drivers in the playoff-16 to look up to as he will be hoping to get back to winning in the track where he won the regular season race. Kyle Busch got his lucky shot at the playoff after he backed into a win at Bristol following the crash of front runners Chase Briscoe and Tyler Reddick.

This will mark Kyle Busch’s first race after signing a new contract with Richard Childress Racing ending his 15 years long partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing. The veteran will be in the right mindset after signing the contract and getting back to victory lane at Bristol, though will be a Concrete track, will be great for him.

Kyle Busch acknowledged that he wants him back to victory lane at Bristol as he had been having some promising runs at the track over the years. He added that this playoff race won’t be on the dirt surface he won at, he would like to have a win at the track regardless of it.

I would like to get back to victory lane at Bristol, no doubt. We’ve had some decent runs there the last several years and hope we can do the same there this year. We were obviously there earlier this year but that was a completely different kind of race on the dirt surface, but never hurts to get a win there no matter what the surface looks like,” Kyle Busch said.

Kyle Busch went on to say that there is a lot of unknown going into the race as there hasn’t been a race for Next-Gen cars on the concrete surface but shred his optimism as it’s among the track where he usually produces the best outcome.

There are a lot of unknowns going into this race since there hasn’t been a race with the NextGen car on the concrete surface, so a lot of unknowns, for sure. It’s always a great racetrack to circle on the calendar and know it’s a time when we can shine,” Kyle Busch added.

Kyle Busch pointed out that Bristol is the best track on the schedule and fans love it for the half-mile close-quarter action.  He compared the close quarter racing to 40 lunatics running around a tight circle.

Bristol Motor Speedway is one of the best racetracks on the circuit. All the fans love it because of the excitement, the run-ins, and the close-quarter action with all the cars being packed on top of one another at a half-mile racetrack with us 40 lunatics running around in a tight circle,” Kyle Busch explained.
