Apart from being a full-time Cup driver for Richard Childress Racing and a part-time driver in the Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing, Kyle Busch is also a part-time driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). He drives the No.51 Chevrolet Silverado for the team he owns. Busch made history by securing the 100th win for his team KBM in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

It was challenging as Corey Heim, KBM’s former driver, fought for the lead in the final ten laps at Ponoco Raceway. He tried to keep Kyle Busch at bay and put on a good show. However, after Turn 1 on Lap 60, Busch moved past Heim in Turn 2 and took the lead. The 38-year-old took the chequered flag 0.604 seconds ahead of Heim and claimed his second victory of the 2023 season.

Kyle Busch’s win at Pocono is the 100th career win for KBM. It is also his 64th victory in the Truck Series in 166 races. To top it off, it is his 229th NASCAR win across all three series, Cup, Xfinity, and Truck. After his epic win, Busch told the media after the race, “We needed this 100th win to get it over with. It’s a monumental day. It’s a century mark of being able to win 100 races. We’re just a small team. We found a home here in the Trucks.”

Busch added, “It’s pretty cool. We’ve been around a long time, not as long as others obviously. It’s been fun. This (truck) today was really, really fast. I was just mired in traffic. I couldn’t find a way to make a clean move so I made a little bit of a dicey one there at the end getting into (Turn) 2. Heim ran a great race, we just needed that 100th win.” There is no doubt that this 100th win means a lot to Busch and his team.

Meanwhile, Heim was upset with his second-place finish. He claimed he did everything right, but it tightened up badly. He did not hide his disappointment about Busch’s move. Although he said that he would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed. It was a big day for Kyle Busch Motorsports, and the team celebrated their sweet victory.

It has been 13 years since Kyle Busch founded his Truck team KBM in 2010. This team won championships with Christopher Bell in 2017 and Erik Jones in 2015. Previously, KBM competed in the Xfinity Series, CARS Tour, ARCA Super Series, and ARCA Menards East & West Series. Today, the NASCAR world celebrates its “Rowdy” for hitting the century mark with his team.
