Kyle Busch showed signed of producing hies best finish of the 2024 season since Atlanta at COTA before an incident involving Christopher Bell put him in the backfoot. Busch ended up finishing the race at P9 while his former Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Bell went on to secure P2 finish behind race winner Willaim Byron.
The No:8 RCR driver Kyle Busch was spun out by No:20 JGR driver Christopher Bell from behind on lap 41 of the race at Turn One. Bell was charging his way to the front when he made contact with Busch. He had previously spun out 2021 NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Larson earlier in the race as well and unlike in the case of Busch, Larson lost 30 positions.

After the race the two times Cup champion Busch didn’t held back his frustration. He marched straight to Bell who was giving interview to the media before his car. Busch started furiously calling him out on his face for the incident and later he promised the Bell that he would wreck him in the future. He said this only after reminding Bell that he had never crashed him in the past.
Busch: Have I ever wrecked you?
Bell: No.
Busch: Okay, It’s fucking coming.
Christopher Bell refuses to take the blame for Kyle Busch’s crash
The Toyota driver talked to the media after the Busch confrontation and pointed out that his moves weren’t intentional. He put’s a little blame for the incident on Busch by claiming the Chevy driver went too wide in his entry to Turn One.
The Kyle Busch incident was a little bit different [from Larson] because I wasn’t trying to make a move or pass him. He opened his entry up because he was too wide, and I was obviously under him when he came down. I had no intentions of spinning him out at all.Bell told RACER.
Christopher Bell before talking about the Busch incident took the blame for taking out Kyle Larson on lap 21 and ruining his race. He pointed out that it was his mistake that cost Larson the race and he apologized him for it.
Bell should be worries about the payback that is coming his way from Kyle Busch. The veteran isn’t someone who takes such incidents lightly and his past encounters speaks for itself. Bell would be hoping to sort out the issue once Busch cools down.
