The Hendrick Motorsports, the most prominent cup team of the 21st century in the NASCAR cup series has been among the front runners even after the Next-Gen car switch as the team has already secured playoff spots for all of their four drivers all of whom are title contenders this season. The No:9 driver Chase Elliott has been the dominant driver for the team as he ranks at the championship p table while last season’s champion Kyle Larson is not so far away, just as the other two William Byron and Alex Bowman.

Going into the Pocono Raceway this weekend all the drivers will have high hopes as other than Elliott; the other 3 piolets had a good history at the track. Reigning Cup champion Kyle Larson and teammate Alex Bowman will be among the drivers to look forward to as the duo have had some successful outings in the past and is desperate for another win as they both have just one win in the season compared to the other two drivers of the team.

Kyle Larson acknowledged that he has always enjoyed racing at Pocono as the track suit’s driving style for some reason. He added that he has had some close calls at the track in the past, as he has close to winning last year finishing at P2, which increases his excitement to hit the track in the next-Gen car. He pointed out that downshifting though not a big thing at the ovals will be a big one at Pocono.

I always enjoy going to Pocono (Raceway) – it’s a track that for some reason suits my driving style I’ve had some good runs there and was close to winning there last year, so I’m excited to go back. It should be interesting in the Next Gen car. I don’t know how many times we’ll be downshifting. In the previous car, this was really the only oval we’d downshift at, so it may not be too different,” Kyle Larson said.

Kyle Larson’s HMS teammate and No:48 Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver Alex Bowman who has previously had some success at the track came forth expressing his thoughts on the coming race. He pointed out that it’s always a good feeling for him to get into a track that has previous wins and acknowledged that his team s doing everything in their power to give him a fast car just like in previous years.

Anytime you go back to a track that you have previously won at; you have a little more confidence and Pocono (Raceway) is one of those tracks for me. We had a great No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 last year and I know our team is doing everything they can to recreate that for me in this year’s car,” Alex Bowman said.

Alex Bowman went on to talk about his team saying they have been working so hard for him even though he wasn’t able to deliver some result the car deserves on some tracks and the tough times have brought the team much closer than they actually were. He points out that he has a strong feeling that the Pocono track is the one that will get him back to the solid finish ways.

I can’t say enough about my team and how hard they work, especially when we feel like we are not getting the results we are aiming for. Our team is so tight-knit and we all join together when we are facing a tough stretch. I feel like Pocono is going to be a place where we can go execute a solid race and get back on track with where we want to be,” Alex Bowman added.
