Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson is set to drive the No:10 Kaulig Racing Chevy in Darlington Raceway. HendrickCars.com will sponsor his ride as they do in the Cup series. The race will be on May 13, 2023, Saturday ahead of the Cup race. Larson will be chasing his 14th second-division race win of his career.

The Kauling car has been driven by multiple Cup regulars this season and has scored Top 10s in all but the Talladega race. Justin Haley started their run with a P10 in Daytona and has since been driven by Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, and A. J. Allmendinger. Their only win so far came at COTA courtesy of Road Course master AJ. Derek Kraus drove the car in the last four races and scored 2 Top 10s and their first finish outside the Top 10, as he could score just a P27 in Dega.

Darlington is a challenging track and definitely one on the top of my list that I’m eager to get a win at. The Kaulig Xfinity cars have been really fast this year too, so I’m thankful for the opportunity to run double duty and hopefully we’ll have a good shot at a win,” Larson said about the Xfinity outing.

Kyle is really big for our sport right now and we’re excited for him to be a part of our program at Kaulig Racing. Building our relationship with Hendrick Motorsports and having HendrickCars.com on board is amazing for us and fun for everyone involved. We’re looking forward to expanding our all-star driver lineup and having him in the car in Darlington,” said team president Chris Rice of Larson’s entry.

Since joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2021, Kyle Larson has been one of the most consistent drivers in the garage. He redeemed himself after the dramatic 2020 season and suspension by winning the championship, amassing an impressive ten wins that season.  He struggled a bit in the 2022 season and struggled to score wins in the early part of the season and was limited to the Round of 12. He won 3 races that year.

Larson had a strong start to the 2023 season and has already scored two wins making him the only multiple-race winner of this season, alongside Kyle Busch and HMS’s William Byron. His wins came in Richmond and Martinsville. He has two top 5 finishes other than the win from 10 races. He has a couple of bad finishes this season, courtesy of crashes he found himself in.
