Hendrick Motorsports 2021 NASCAR Cup Series winning driver Kyle Larson has recently made a few revelations about his retirement that surprised many in the racing community. Larson, while talking to ex-NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, admitted that he wants to retire early from the sport as he has other aspirations.

Larson, considered the best racer of his generation, wants to retire early because he wants to fight for the championship in the premier dirt racing scene. He plans to earn a sum of money that could ensure he and his family a healthy future with his NASCAR venture before exploring the dirt racing scene. He believes seven to eight years is the right time period for this.

…I’m 31 right now, I’m going into my 11th season in the Cup Series, I’ve already been in it for a while. So, in my eyes if I can race another seven or eight years, I can earn a lot of money, I can set myself up really well and I can go still be in my prime, hopefully, and go compete for a premier dirt series championship.

In 2024, he will have the opportunity to showcase his prowess to the IndyCar fans at the Indy500, and he might have a car capable of winning the crown jewel event since he will be racing Arrow McLaren.

Bowman, in a recent interview, revealed that as soon as he is done with racing in the top tier of NASCAR, he would like to join the World of Outlaws touring series; he hopes to explore the country while racing with this move.

I think as long as I’m able to, as soon as I’m done Cup racing…I’d love to do the Outlaw Tour. I mean, the areas of the country that I’ve never been to, that I wanna see, the life on the road, kind of all of it. I want to do it for sure. It’s gonna happen unless there’s a reason it can’t.
