Kyle Busch has been the most impressive driver ever to set foot on the Toyota Camry as he led the Toyota revolution in the NASCAR cup series. The 60 times cup race winner has produced two championship-winning seasons for the JGR No:18 team and is still as competitive and dangerous at the track as he was in his prime.

The veteran has been struggling recently at the attack as well as off of it as he is yet to secure a contract extension or a new contract with any teams at the NASCAR grid that could have secured him a spot in the coming years. Multiple rumors are out there about the veteran’s next move including moves to 23X1 Racing or Stewart Hass Racing.

The main cause of the uncomfortable contract scenario is the departure of Kyle Busch’s longtime sponsor M&M, and Joe Gibbs Racing Management’s struggles to find a new sponsor who can meet the needs of all three parties involved. The veteran’s on-track performance looks to have been impacted by the uncertainty as well, as he has been failing to put forth strong runs in recent weeks.

Kyle Busch in his latest media interaction about his contract situation at Darlington acknowledged that he had been hearing advice from NASCAR executives to remain the same regarding his attitude for more than fifty years might have caused his current uncertainty of contract situation. He added that he now understands why you shouldn’t hear the advice everyone gives you.

Trust me, I have heard from every single NASCAR executive. ‘Kyle, man, you’re awesome for us. Don’t change. Right. Well, now, listening to that for the past 15 years might present me jobless. So I guess don’t listen to those that are offering you advice all the time is my best submission,” Kyle Busch said.

Kyle Busch went on to say that he had the freedom o act and react the way he wanted when he was contracted to M&M in the past but right now, he might have to change most likely to land another contract. He joked by saying that he doesn’t know how much does he has to change in order to land that one.

Having the freedom of being able to act or react to certain situations the way that I could through the support of M&M’s allowed me to be as successful as I was on Sundays. One thousand percent. Will that have to change? Most likely,” says Kyle Busch.

How much? 10 percent? 15 percent? I don’t know. Maybe it’s 18 percent that you have to change. I don’t know what that is or what that looks like. So obviously, that’s still to be determined,” Added Kyle Busch.
