“Little disappointed that he voiced it.” TRD President ‘disappointed’ with Kyle Busch’s JGR contract comments

Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch who drives the No.18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing and has had a pretty decent season so far but seems to be pretty frustrated with his contract at JGR for reasons unknown yet. TRD President and Joe Gibbs have voiced their own perspectives on the conduct of Kyle Busch with interviewers and staff.

Kyle Busch has had over 60 career wins so far with over 375 top 10s and has won the NASCAR Cup Series Championship twice along with an Xfinity Series Championship and has won this season’s Food City Dirt Race hosted at Bristol Motor Speedway which makes it pretty evident that he is a contender for NASCAR’s Hall of Fame.

But the problem arises with his behavioral pattern, be it with his partners, interviewers or staff, he is a difficult person to speak with and TRD President especially seemed sad with his conduct along with Joe Gibbs.

“He is clearly a little frustrated and that’s understandable to a point,” said David Wilson, President of TRD on Kyle Busch

David Wilson, President of TRD seemed pretty disheartened with the way Kyle Busch has been giving obscure answers when asked about his partnership with Toyota or JGR. Wilson went on to say that he is angry which is reasonable but was disappointed that Busch mentioned it to the reporters despite Joe Gibbs speaking to him about how hard they’re working to keep his run with JGR and Toyota safe.

“He is clearly a little frustrated and that’s understandable to a point. Little disappointed that he voiced it, but he knows because Joe talks to him a lot of the time how hard we are collectively working to make sure that we have a place for him for as long as he wants to stay,” said David Wilson on Kyle Busch.

JGR owner Joe Gibbs himself said that he is optimistic about striking a deal with Kyle Busch given that his primary sponsor M&M is exiting from the sport but concluded by saying that it might take time to make a plan for his stay at JGR with Toyota.

“We’re confident we’re going to get things done. So we’re just working hard at it. It takes a while,” said Joe Gibbs.

Given the driver Kyle Busch is, any team will welcome him with open arms, will he stay with JGR in the meantime a deal is made or will he end things with the organization.
