Michael Jordan’s 23XI NASCAR racing team has been making huge waves since its debut. In order to further improve the day-to-day operations of the team, they have hired the 2021 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series champion, Keegan Leahy as a performance consultant for the team. One interesting fact about Leahy, he is also 23XI Racing’s current eNASCAR driver.

Keegan Leahy is a well-renowned name in the e-racing world, and 23XI, with their recent promotion of him to the team’s performance consultant role, has done it with the motive of trying to get the maximum out of him. The Jordan-led team wants to progress at a faster rate in comparison to all its other rivals. Moreover, while Leahy is one of the best sim racers on the planet, he also holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.

His strong academic background is surely going to help in settling in quickly in his new role on the 23XI Racing team. Leahey is ecstatic about what lies ahead, and while talking about his new role, he said, “It’s a really interesting job, something I’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of and try to find my niche. I got to try a whole lot of different stuff this week and figure out what I’m good at or what I like and enjoy, and what the team needs me to do. So honestly, I can’t tell you exactly what I’m doing because I don’t know yet, either.”

Denny Hamlin, while talking about Leahy’s impact at 23XI Racing, said, “I know that I worked with him on road courses quite a bit, COTA being one of them. Now again, I’m probably not a great case study because I haven’t taken the big jump that I need to. I know that I worked with him at the Daytona road course, and I led early on at the Daytona road course because of the preparation that I put in with him and the team… I think that you’ll see in the future that these guys are going to have positions or be assets to some of these teams.”

Denny Hamlin has never tried to shy away from applauding Keegan Leahy and what he brings to the table. Hamlin is well aware of their thinking ability of Leahy and his knack for making things work. Thus Hamlin has even gone on to indicate that he has everything in him to hold top positions on the team in the upcoming years of the sport.
