Tyler Reddick and Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch has made the long-awaited choice regarding his NASCAR cup future as the veteran decided to call and end to his Toyota days and rejoin the Chevy family he left 15 years ago. Kyle Busch will leave the No:18 Joe Gibbs Racing team and will take over the No:8 Richard Childress Racing team currently driven by Tyler Reddick.

The RCR man will still stay with the team as he is contracted with the team for one more year before making his pre-contracted move to 23X1 Racing. The surprising move made by the youngster raised some eyebrows around the NASCAR community and the move can be considered a retaliation to that contract signing.

Kyle Busch who drove for the TRD top team for more than 15 years securing two championships along with a record of more than 200 wins for the Toyota squad in all three national series, will have a new chapter to write and more trophies to win in the coming days with RCR. The RCR team has also provided Kyle’s son Brexton Busch with a future contract to drive for RCR.

Though he lost the No:8 ride, Tyler Reddick will still race for the RCR crew in a third charter of the team that will be introduced from the 2023 season. The move made by Kyle Busch has trophy hunting written all over it. The RCR team is in the right state to secure some trophies from 2022 as they already have three win’s this season.
