Kyle Busch ended his 15-year partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing to join Richard Childress Racing. The veteran is set to drive for the Chevy Garage from the 2023 season. Joining the Chevy garage also came with its perks for the veteran. One of which is a drive in the iconic Indy 500.

Kyle Busch’s RCR contract has provided him with the opportunity to drive for a chevy IndyCar team in Brickyard. Recent reports suggest that racing maestro McLaren is considering Busch as a potential contender to drive their fourth entry in the 2023 Indy 500.

Menards is reported to be the sponsor for Busch’s Indy ride. The Arrow McLaren SP was founded by Las Vegas resident Sam Schmidt and he will be keen to offer the charter to Busch, who also hails from Vegas.

Kyle Busch will not be the first Busch to drive in the Indy 500. His elder brother and 23X1 Racing driver Kurt Busch have secured a P6 finish, back in 2014. If everything goes right, he will also be joining former cup racer Jimmie Johnson, who now drives in the IndyCar series.
