NASCAR will hit the Kansas speedway this weekend for the annual AdventHealth 400 in Kansas City following the wild finish to the Darlington throwback weekend. The 12th round of Cup series racing the 1.5-mile oval is expected to witness Toyota teams fight for the victory as the manufacturer is yet to put on a dominant performance other than Denny Hamlin’s Richmond win and Kyle Busch’s surprising Bristol win, both the drivers belonging to Joe Gibbs Racing.
Denny Hamlin who drives the No:22 JGR Toyota Camry will go to Kansas hoping to get his season to consistent run after the roller-coaster ride the season so far has been for him. The odds are on Hamlin’s side as the veteran already has 3 wins in the track and has also had three top 5 finishes in the last 5 rounds of racing in the same track including his Top 5 finish in the track last season.

Denny Hamlin acknowledged that he is excited about the upcoming race weekend at Kansas as the NASCAR schedule so far has covered most types of traps giving teams vital data on what to expect in the future tracks and Kansas is one of them. So, there is enough data with the team to make changes in the right direction.
“I’m excited about the weekend. We’ve been to pretty much every type of track that we’re going to see, so now we have some notes and data points that we can build off of. That helps us a ton with setups and finding a direction to work in,” Denny Hamlin said.
Denny Hamlin went on to say that his No:22 team has been looking forward to race in Kansas after their string outing earlier in the season at Las Vegas. He went on to say that as a company his team has been putting out well-performing cars lately but failed to secure the finishes they deserve. He added that he is confident about what they can do in Kansas.
“I feel like our team has been looking forward to this race since Las Vegas because of how strong our car was there, and this is the first true mile-and-a-half we’ve been to since then. As a company, we have been bringing! great cars to the track lately and just haven’t been able to get the finish we deserved, but I’m confident that we can do that this weekend in Kansas,” Denny Hamlin added.
