Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, popularly known as RFK Racing, had an impressive start to the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. The team fields two full-time cars. Co-owner and driver Brad Keselowski drives the No.6 Ford Mustang GT, and Chris Buescher the No.17 Ford Mustang. Both cars are ranked 11th (Buescher) and 12th (Keselowski) in the championship standings. This is a positive result for the team who wants to qualify for the Cup Series playoffs.

Though Brad Keselowski is optimistic about their chances, he claims it would be challenging for the team. Both drivers have not won a race this season yet, but they have three top-five finishes each. They also have thirteen top-10 finishes, as Buescher has seven and Keselowski has six. This is a huge boost for a team targeting the playoffs.

Brad Keselowski has 35 wins and 239 top-ten finishes in the NASCAR Cup Series. In the upcoming races, there is no doubt that he will fight for his 36th win. The 39-year-old has already equaled his top-ten finishes of a year ago. In 2022, he had just one top-five finish, but this season he has three. This is an improvement for him and the team. After a winless season, Keselowski is looking for redemption.

Chris Buescher’s three top-five finishes equal his total from the 2022 season. Both Buescher and Keselowski have a better season compared to last year. The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion stated, “We‘ve got some good vibes going. Chris is on a really big hot streak. He‘s run really well here the last three or four races and been in contention to win.”

Keselowski added, “He won a stage in the Coke 600, won part of the All-Star Race, and ran really good at Sonoma, just really good energy there, making their way up in the points. A lot of excitement there.” Though Keselowski praised his teammate, he was quite hard on himself. He revealed that the No.6 team felt strong at Charlotte but not on other tracks. Brad Keselowski said they are not comfortable. They would like to win races.

The RFK Racing co-owner believes winning is what the sport is about. He praised the team for doing a great job and making themselves relevant. However, Keselowski is not satisfied. He wants to push the team forward and get their first victory of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season in the upcoming races. The team is already on the right path and has produced promising results. It is only a matter of time before they aim for higher places.
