Stewart Friesen vs Jessica Friesen: Husband and wife set to go head-to-head at Bristol Dirt Truck race
The Friesen’s have battled with each other on the same package multiple times before in their career.
Stewart Friesen and Jessica Friesen
The 2023 NASCAR Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway will feature a special family feud as Championship regular Stewart Friesen will go up against his wife, Jessica Friesen. Jessica will enter the race part-time. It’s not the first time the couple has faced each other. They have started multiple late models, sprints, and dirt racers together.
Jessica will drive the No:62 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Halmar Friesen Racing. The car is specially fielded for the female driver, and she drove the vehicles back in the 2021 and 22 seasons. HFR’s only full-time entry is the No:52 Truck driven by Stewart Friesen. The couple has the same car to fight in with each other to prove who is the best.
Aim Autism will sponsor her and will drive the Blue, green, and yellow-themed Toyota Tundra. Jessica made her NASCAR debut in Knoxville, the second dirt race of the series, with HFR. She was scheduled to make the debit at Bristol but failed due to a washed-out heat race. She had a similar schedule in 2022 and was eliminated in the Heat race at Bristol. Two of the starts came at Knoxville, and she has the best finish of P26.
The 2023 season has been tough for SFR as they have not had a solid outing. They currently sit at P12 with a couple of Top15 finishes. Compared to 2022, it’s a poor start for the team, as they consistently fought for the top 10s. The team needs to step up their game in the coming races if they want to match the championship P6 they scored last two years.

Jessica Friesen has to fight defending Cup series champion Joey Logano in the qualifiers
Jessica Friesen is in for a tough day at the office next weekend as she will be facing off against the defending Cup series champion Joey Logano who will be making his first Truck start of 2023. If NASCAR follows the 36 Truck lineup of 2022, they will have to best each other for the sport in the final starting line-up.
Joey Logano might turn out to be too big of a challenge for her. Other than just being a Bristol Cup race winner, he is driving the Ford F-150 of ThorSport. They were the Truck Serie champion in the 2021 season. Logano raced the same schedule in the 2022 season, the David Gilliland Racing, now TRICON Garage. He started the race on the pole and finished P6.
