Bubba Wallace found himself in line with severe criticism after his misdemeanor in Las Vegas. The 23X1 Racing driver shoved his HMS rival, Kyle Larson, multiple times after wrecking him. His actions were prompted by an aggressive overtake from Larson that send him to the wall earlier.

The NASCAR community was in agreement that Bubba deserved a suspension for wrecking Larson at high speed. They were in splits on penalizing Wallace for confronting Larson. Such behavior from drivers is common in NASCAR. The organization delivered the penalty for Wallace on Wednesday. He was found violating NASCAR’s behavioral policy. He is suspended from racing in Miami this weeknd.

Joey Logano pointed out that right-rear hooking someone in the turn isn’t an okay behavior. He added that it would have been fine if Bubba had spun Larson to the infield. Logano said that the wreck could have ended Larson’s career. He added that the turn is the worst spot to get rear-hooked.

If he spun him to the infield, maybe it’s a little better, but right-rear hooking someone in the dogleg is not OK. I don’t know if everyone realizes how bad that could have bee. That could have been the end of Kyle Larson’s career. That to me was what was on the line. Or his life. That is the worst spot to get right-rear hooked into a corner,” Joey Logano told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Joey Logano said that if Larson has flush-hit the barriers on the side, it would have been game over for him. He pointed out that he doesn’t like using cars as a weapon. Logano added that if Bubba Wanted to confront Larson, he should have just done that instead of wrecking him.

“[Larson] might have flush-hit that thing in the side and game over. There’s no room for that. You can’t do that. If it’s under caution and you’re banging doors … I don’t know that that’s OK, but at least you’re not putting someone’s life at risk. I don’t like using cars for a weapon. Just get out and fight him. That’s fine if that’s what you really want to do and that’s how you want to handle it,” Joey Logano added.
