“The decision was not an easy one, but the right one,” Kurt Busch to skip the remaining regular season races as he set to make a return in the playoff’s

NASCAR fans, as well as the drivers, have surlily been missing veteran Kurt Busch, the most senior driver driving full time this season in the cup series; on the track, the veteran was substituted by JGR prodigy Ty Gibbs since Pocono. Kurt Busch was forced to call quits after he crashed into the wall at Pocono qualifying, which prompted him to have a concussion holding him back from races.
Ty Gibbs got the opportunity to drive the No:45 Toyota Camry of 23X1 Racing instead of the old guard and has been producing incredible runs in the cup series finishing inside the top 20 in 3, with one top 10 finish also, of the four races he entered. Kurt Busch, who already secured his playoff spot after his Dover win, might have been missed mainly by Bubba Wallace, who could have used the experience of some like Kusch as his continuous front raw runs remain fruitless for his playoff dreams.
But Now Kurt Busch has announced his decision to skip the reaming two cup races, the road course races at Watkins Glen and Daytona to make a comeback at the start of the playoff in Darlington. The decision might harm Kurt Busch as he ranks at the bottom of drivers to secure a playoff with a sole win as two different winners in the coming races might take away his chances.

Kurt Busch released a statement through his social media handles where he acknowledged that though how much he wants to get back in the car the time is not yet right. He added that he has been focussing all of his efforts on a comeback before the playoffs and announced that he will be skipping Daytona and Glen for that reason.
“As much as I want to be back in the car, the time is still not right. over the last few weeks, I have focused all my efforts on getting better. And in order to fully focus my recovery on trying to be back for the playoffs, I will not be competing in the next two races at Watkins Glen and Daytona,” Kurt Busch stated.
Kurt Busch went on to state that the decision wasn’t an easy one for him though it was the right one and pointed out that he needs to be racing at 100% as he owes hat to 23X1 Racing, the fans, partners, and his rivals. He added that it is his goal to make come back to the No:45 camera before the playoff starts.
“This decision was not an easy one, but the right one. I need to be racing at 100%. I owe that to everyone at 23Xl, all of our partners, my fellow competitors, and the fans… It’s my goal to be back in the No. 45 Toyota Camry TRD to start the playoffs,” Kurt Busch added.
Kurt Busch went on to add that he knows that Ty Gibbs will continue to do the great job he has been doing in the car in his absence and appreciated his competitiveness on the track. He went on to thank all of his well-wishers for the support and acknowledged that it meant a lot to him.
“I know Ty will continue to do a great job in my absence, and I appreciate the competitiveness he’s brought to the track… I continue to be incredibly grateful for all the well-wishes and support. It truly means a lot,” Kurt Busch explained.
