This weekend, Kansas Speedway will host the Hollywood Casino 400, with the NASCAR Cup Series grid taking the course. The second round of the postseason racing will be provided by Barstool Sportsbook in 2022. Due to their failure to win last week at Darlington, the 16-man playoff grid is predicted to make a comeback in this race, and the season’s winless drivers will be looking for their chance at redemption.
One of the best non-US drivers to ever step foot on the Cup grid, Daniel Suarez has been leaving his mark on the premier stock car race. The driver of the Justin Marks-Pitbull-owned Trackhouse Racing No. 99 Camaro ZL1 has demonstrated his abilities by helping the team win the Sonoma Road course race. Following a P18 finish at Darlington, he will be hoping to make a comeback this weekend at Kansas.
The Next-Gen car has provided Trackhouse Racing alongside the Mexican a chance to have a genuine shot at the NASCAR glory which was previously dominated by teams with more resources to spend. The team will be hoping to continue thriving towards the end of the championship in the uncertainty the next-Gen car has brought to the table in the cup series.

Daniel Suarez acknowledged that he is ready for Kansas and pointed out that if not for the mistake he commented at Darlington he might have had a good race finish there with the pacy car they had. He added that if they are able to keep the pace that they had last Sunday then they will be fine this Sunday also.
“We are ready. We had a really fast car at Darlington Sunday. I made a mistake (speeding on pit road) and you can’t have that. We have some things to clean up, but if we are as fast at every playoff race as we were in Darlington then we are going to be fine,” Daniel Suarez said.
Daniel Suarez went on to say that his team is in a great position going forward and the Trackhouse Racing team has done a tremendous job this year and is still evolving. He added that he needs to continue the things they have been doing so far to perfection in order to get better.
“I think we’re in a great position. I have an amazing team behind me. Trackhouse Racing has done a tremendous job this year. We have to continue to evolve. It’s the most important part of the season, of course. We have to continue to do the same thing that we’ve been doing and continue to get better,” Daniel Suarez added.
Daniel Suarez pointed out that contrary to last year where some cars had a dominant pace over the rest this year it’s more close and results are unpredictable. He joked that he is ready to bet a thousand dollars to someone who is able to predict all the winners of the coming races correctly. He added that he loves this unpredictability with the new cars.
“If it was last year, I would tell you ‘this guy is going to win it or this guy is going to win it because the gaps were so big. With this car, if you’re telling me who is going to win any race and you get it right, I’ll give you a thousand dollars (laughs). I don’t think you’re going to get it right. There is not one guy.. anyone can be good. I love that about this car. It’s unpredictable. Everyone has an opportunity,” Daniel Suarez explained.
