Daniel Suarez
Daniel Suarez who drives the No.99 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Trackhouse Racing as a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Cup Series rewrote the sport’s history becoming the first-ever Mexican national who won a Cup Series race with his Toyota Save Mart 350 victory at Sonoma Raceway, which was the second road-course race of the 2022 season, and the first being the race at Circuit of The Americas, won by teammate Ross Chastain, both the drivers have made the team owners, Justin Marks and Pitbull proud with their dominating performances throughout the season so far.
This is Daniel Suarez’s second season with Trackhouse Racing and his partnership with the team hasn’t yet been extended for the next year or the coming years after his victory, he seems pretty undisturbed by the fact that his contract with the team hasn’t seen any extension lately. He previously ran the No.19 for Joe Gibbs Racing as he replaced Carl Edwards as a Cup Series Rookie in 2017. He also won the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship earning himself the title of an International Winner for the second-tier Series of the sport.

“With Trackhouse Racing, it just felt very good,” Daniel Suarez recollects his fond memories with the team
Daniel Suarez is currently running in his fifth season and second Cup Series season with Trackhouse Racing and he seems to be in the best form he has been over the years as he talks about his time at Trackhouse Racing, all he has to say is about the extremely positive and he has not experienced the comfort and support in all his years of racing is extremely grateful for it and he also feels like he is in his comfort zone.
“With Trackhouse Racing, it just felt very good, I felt support and trust, honestly, like I had never felt before in the Cup Series. The first words out of my mouth … were that I didn’t want to even talk about this right now. My focus was on one thing and that was to win races,” said Daniel Suarez.
He further added by saying that he has found the right place to boost his skills and reputation as a racer with Trackhouse and that his main focus is to win races he also appears to be pretty confident with his partnership with the team that it won’t be ending anytime soon and will collectively work together and strike a deal which is a benefit both himself and the team and he is delighted with his time at Trackhouse Racing.
“This is my home. I’m not going anywhere. I’m not going to worry about a contract today, tomorrow, next month, or the next couple of months. I feel like we’re in a very, very good place – probably the best place I’ve ever been with a team – so I’m 100% sure things are going to work out,” concluded Daniel Suarez.
With a playoff spot confirmed with his recent triumph at Sonoma Raceway, will the world witness the first Mexican-born NASCAR Cup Series Championship winner?
