Tony Stewart is arguably one of the greatest racers ever in motorsports, who proved himself in both the stock car racing scene and the open-wheel championship. He has won races everywhere he has raced and is among the elite few who could comprehensively describe the difference in each racing discipline.

Recently, Stewart was asked about his favorite race car and favorite track to race on. The Stewart Haas Racing co-owner had a unique answer to the question, which some of his stock car and open-wheel racing fans wouldn’t like. He admitted that midgets are still his favorite cars, and he loves to race in Chilly Bowls, making it his favorite track.

My all-time favorite car is a Midget, and my favorite place to run it is the Chili Bowl.

It’s not the first time the ex-JGR driver has said the same. Stewart could have chosen a car from his time in NASCAR that saw him win three Cup Series titles or one from his time in IndyCar, where he won one title. He also has choices such as the USAC cars, where he won at all levels, or even his championship, the SRX Series.

Why is Chilly Bowl Tony Stewart’s Favourite?

Stewart explained why the Chilly Bowl, where he was won twice, is his favorite track. He pointed out that the track and midget cars create much excitement, and with the right car, drivers can have much fun on the track, making it his favorite.

That track is suited perfectly for those cars and creates a lot of excitement. When your car is right, it is a blast around there. So that is still my favorite car and my favorite track.

Like many Chilly Bowl fans, Stewart will look forward to seeing the event, which is scheduled for January 8th and 13th. The 2024 edition will yield a $20,000 prize for the best of the 300 entrants; Stewarts’ NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe is set to race at the event.
