Denny Hamlin is included in the list of 25 drivers to be added to NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers list. During NASCAR’s 50th anniversary in 1998, they revealed the 50 greatest drivers list. On April 9th, 2023, the organization decided to add 25 names to its all-time greatest drivers list. This is a part of NASCAR’s 75th-anniversary celebration. Hamlin has three Daytona 500 wins, one Coco-Cola 600 win, and three in the Southern 500 (Crown Jewel wins).
Hamlin has a total of 48 Cup Series wins, which makes him a well-deserved driver to be added to the list. Denny Hamlin is considered NASCAR’s best driver without a championship alongside Mark Martin. The NASCAR team owner and driver has been with Joe Gibbs Racing for most of his career. Hamlin reached the Cup Series after success in short tracks races in Virginia and Carolina. He moved from the Xfinity Series to Cup in 2006 and was named “Rookie of the Year”.
Denny Hamlin is known for his consistency. He has one Cup Victory in sixteen of the eighteen seasons. He also has been top five in the final standings eight times. This shows his brilliance. His Xfinity records are also impressive. He has 21 poles and 17 wins. In the Craftsman Truck Series, he has two race wins. Hamlin’s 48 Cup wins ties him with the Hall of Fame driver Herb Thomas for 16th on NASCAR’s all-time win list.
Kyle Busch, with 61 wins, and Kevin Harvick, with 60 wins, are the only two drivers ahead of him on the list of drivers who are active winners. Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin are the active drivers to be included in the 75 Greatest Drivers list. Hamlin has accomplished plenty in the sport. He even teamed up with NBA icon Micheal B Jordan and formed 23XI Racing. They started the team in 2021.

Though they had mixed reactions, most of them were positive. “Say what you want about him as a person, but he absolutely deserves this”, “Well deserved”, “He is definitely 1 of the Best!”, “Best Driver in my eyes, Hell Yeah!!” and “He’s the man, congratulations” were some reactions.
