NASCAR and F1 have been in a tough battle with each other in the US audience sphere. Multiple sports figures have taken a jibe at each sport over the years. In a recent addition to this list, two-time Cup Series champion, Joey Logano has broken down the difference between the two series and why the stock car racing is better than the other.

This week, NASCAR will hold the premier class race at COTA, which is the only track that both the stock car series and the pinnacle open-wheel racing share with each other. F1 averages about 50 overtakes over the whole race distance, while NASCAR has this many changes of leaders in a race alone. Subsequently, this has raised questions ahead of the weekend about the stark differences in terms of overtaking and entertainment between the two. Following Kyle Busch‘s dig at F1, Joey Logano has given his views regarding the same.

For us, we're passing almost every lap, shucking and jiving. The strategies are pretty fluid, and the whole thing is unpredictable. You don't see the same guy win every week. There are good things about both — don't get me wrong — but you're asking a NASCAR guy here. We're definitely more rough and tumble.
Joey Logano said in an interview with Statesman.

The 33-year-old elucidated that NASCAR is a more versatile sport. Moreover, the strategies are quite off-beat when compared to F1, and how cautions and stage breaks keep the race exciting till the end, unlike their counterpart. Joey Logano also stated that due to the aspects of bumping and drafting for long periods, the cars can endure damage and aggressive behavior by their pilots.
