Kevin Harvick and Chase Briscoe compete full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the No.4 and No.14 Ford Mustang respectively, both for Stewart-Haas Racing. Both the drivers couldn’t make it to the top 5 leaving them disappointed with each having their own issues with their cars.
Chase Briscoe managed to finish 13th with that being his best pole at the track including a victory at Phoenix Raceway and two top 10s with three top 20s and two DNFs this season. 2022 appears to be a rollercoaster season for the SHR driver so far.
Kevin Harvick on the other hand stole P9 at the DuraMAX Drydene 400 with the rest of his season being five top 10s, three top 15s, and two DNFs, he has succeeded at earning his 23rd top 10 at Dover with that being amongst the highest number of top 10s at a track.

Chase Briscoe had trouble since the practice race and managed to make a comeback for the qualifier despite cautions to slow his position. He also added that the untimely weather screwed up his start at the DuraMAX Drydene 400 and he couldn’t make the most of it.
“We were so behind after practice, we just didn’t get a lot of time to work on it with so many cautions, but we made it better for qualifying. We were still pretty far off Sunday when the race started, and warmer weather today really didn’t help,” said Chase Briscoe.
Chase Briscoe concluded by saying that his crew did an excellent job and their team effort on whole was on point but he couldn’t quite get there with unclean air being the major reason.
“The guys did a great job working on it and, by the end, our balance was good. We just didn’t have enough time to make up ground, and dirty air was a major factor,” concluded Chase Briscoe.

Kevin Harvick faced a problem with his car at the end of Stage 2 and had no idea what was causing it, they lost too much time in trying to fix it, they weren’t successful at that but he still managed to finish 9th at the end of the race.
“We just lost the car right there at the end of the second stage and it was plowing tight. We never really were able to find anything to make it any better,” said Kevin Harvick.
He further added that no one knew what the actual reason was and concluded by saying that they’ll figure it out and come back prepared for next week’s race at Darlington.
“I’m not sure what happened. We’ll try to figure that out and go back to work for Darlington next weekend,” concluded Kevin Harvick.
Kevin Harvick and Chase Briscoe managed to finish within the top 15 and they stand at positions 12 and 13 respectively in the points table. Will this season see them push forward and bring a championship trophy home for the team?
