“What can you throw rocks at us about this time?” Bootie Barker calls out Bubba Wallace haters following his emphatic Kansas win
Bubba Wallace and Bootie Barker
Any opinion on Bubba Wallace in NASCAR is complicated and multilayered as he is one of the most dividing personas when it comes to it in the sport. The 23X1 Racing driver is sometimes overlooked at the same time overrated by several individuals associated with the sport or its fandom.
Bubba Wallace who joined the Michael Joran-Denny Hamlin–owned team in 2021 and though underachieved with the car he was provided, secured an impressive first career win at Talledega. The win came after NASCAR decided to suspend the race due to heavy rain and proclaim Bubba Wallace who was the leader before the Red Flag the winner.
The organization’s decision to award Bubba Wallace the win didn’t sit well with a huge portion of NASCAR fans and fuelled the already ultra-active hate group of the driver. But with his latest win at Kansas by outracing his boss Denny Hamlin, Wallace has silenced the critics proving himself to be the real deal.
Bubba Wallace and many associated with the driver weren’t happy about the constant abuse or unwanted criticism that came at him for his NASCAR involvement. Bubba Wallace crew chief Bootie Barker has been among one of them and now after his driver’s comfortable win at Kansas, just like his teammate Kurt Busch did in the spring race at the same track, has some words for the haters.
