“Where is your gratitude, buddy? Where is your grace?” NASCAR spotter calls out Kyle Busch for disrespectful attitude towards Joe Gibbs

“Where is your gratitude, buddy? Where is your grace?” NASCAR spotter calls out Kyle Busch for disrespectful attitude towards Joe Gibbs

Joe Gibbs and Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch, the No:18 Toyota Camry driver for Joe Gibbs Racing and without any doubt the best racer to ever dove a Toyota in the cup series, has been having a weird season in 2022 both on and off the track. Though Busch has been able to secure a win in the Bristol dirt race it wasn’t a convincing win and all the other times he failed to come up on top though he had some dominating runs due to multiple reasons.

But the thing that worries Kyle Busch more than anything is his contract situation with Joe Gibbs Racing as a lack of a good sponsorship deal for the 2023 season following M&M, Busch’s long-time partner announcing their exit from the sport. JGR is yet to finalize or cover good grounds regarding the situation though they have been vocal on the fact that they need the veteran to stay.

It’s fair to assume that now there exists tension between JGR and Kyle Busch as the driver is being dragged through unwanted pressure regarding the contract situation by the team. Fans got to see the tension live on last weekend’s Pocono cup race which saw a disappointing finish to JGR where Busch’s and teammate Denny Hamlin’s P2 and P1 finishes were stripped for infractions found in post-race car inspection.

When Kyle Busch was approached by Joe Gibbs to congratulate him for the P2 the veteran showed little emotion and no eye contact speaking to the boss, a conversation that ended fast. Now NASCAR spotters Brett Griffin and Freddie Kraft have come forth calling out the driver in their Door Bumper Clear podcast, for the attitude shown towards his boss.

Justin Haley’s spotter Brett Griffin wasn’t holding back his criticism of the driver’s action calling Kyle Busch’s action disrespectful as he pointed out that Busch is not showing any gratitude or grace. He went to take a shot at Busch’s sponsorship situation adding the same attitude might be the main reason that he isn’t getting any sponsorship deals.

What Kyle Busch did yesterday in that video I saw on NASCAR is disrespectful. Where is your gratitude, buddy? Where is your grace? Because you don’t ever display any. So maybe that’s why you’re not marketable enough to warrant a $25 million sponsor right now,” Brett Griffin, who spots for Justin Haley said.

He went on to say that Kyle Busch might be one of the most talented drivers on the grid and the best personality for NASCAR as he might be the last person NASCAR wants to see the back of as he is preferred more than the likes of drivers such as Chase Elliott. He pointed out that though drivers such as Busch are needed what he has shown there on Sunday was utter disrespect.

I’m sorry. Most talented in the garage? Yeah, he’s one of them. Best personality for NASCAR? Probably. The last person I think NASCAR wants to see go away is Kyle Busch because you don’t need a hundred Chase Elliotts. You need guys that are out there doing what Kyle’s doing. But, man, in that video, holy disrespectful. I thought it was bad,” Brett Griffin added.

The podcast co-host and Bubba Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft on the other hand had some kind words on him saying that Busch was obviously disappointed by the P2 result and anyone that might walk up to the veteran at that time will be getting the same reaction from him.

As far as Kyle’s reaction, for one thing, this is not really a surprise to see Kyle reacting this way after finishing second. Anybody that walks up to Kyle in that situation is probably going to get a similar reaction, but I mean, come on,” Freddie Kraft, who spots for Bubba Wallace said.
