Howard Hitchcock, the CEO of Lionel Racing, is confident of the future of the sport and business following the success of his diecast business this year. He said, “This shows there is a future for the diecast business, which we are super excited about. It also shows there is a future for the fan in the sport with healthy participation in the classic fan and the new fan,”.
Howard Hitchcock also pointed out that selling cars from smaller teams is also increasing because of those teams’ success in the next-gen era. He said, “There’s been a lot of support from our wholesalers to sell the cars from smaller teams. We see different faces in the winner’s circle, and teams like Trackhouse win and create excitement in the sport,”.
They have now planned for mass retailing of Truck and Xfinity series cars. Hitchcock said, “We can bring trucks and Xfinity cars into the mass retail space. We work really hard to deliver products across s multiple channels and multiple series, and we try to feed the desires of all collectors,”.
