The 2024 NASCAR Cup season saw Joey Logano securing his third Championship, peaking at the right time during the playoffs continuing Team Penske Racing’s Next-Gen era dominance. But the victory didn’t sit well with a significant portion of the NASCAR community, who was disappointed to see drivers who were strong on the regular season missing out owing to small mistakes.

This has prompted NASCAR to rethink the Chase format and following the drama, they confirmed that they will look into potential tweaks that can make the format better. Now according to the latest reports any changes won’t be enforced in the 2025 season, instead they will further discuss the topic next-season before making a change.

Though it was a controversial win, the DQ from the playoff was a serious punishment for his actions and it is reasonable that he gets the opportunity to partake in the all-star race. It would be interesting to see how Austin Dillon would perform in the race.
