The NASCAR Cup Series All Star race at North Wilkesboro was a normal event with limited action upfront and pole sitter Joey Logano securing his first win of 2024. But when Team Penske driver was giving his post-race interview, on the other side of the garage chaos was erupting. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got into a fight with Kyle Busch.

The No:47 Chevy driver waited for the RCR veteran in front of the No:8 Hauler and their heated confrontation soon went south after Stenhouse Jr. hit Kyle Busch on his face. Ricky Stenhouse Sr. also got involved in the fight as he grabbed and shoved Busch to the side, away from his son who was on the ground.

Now Stenhouse Jr. has talked about his father getting involved in the clash with Corey Lejoie’s Stacking Pennies and admitted that his dad does like to fight. The dirt racing background of Senior was the reason he got involved in the fight alongside all the crew members grabbing each other, according to the JTGD Racing driver.

Dad likes to fight. Dirt racer from back home. I saw him and I was just making sure everybody wasn’t gonna [pummel him] or each other. And it looked like all the crew guys were grabbing each other, him included. Just grabbing each other.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. he feels bad for the incident

While further talking about the incident with Kyle Busch, Stenhouse Jr. admitted that he feels bad for the punch. He admitted that it isn’t something his kids should see and learn from. But the Chevy driver also put shades on Busch saying the veteran shouldn’t have wrecked him.

The sucky part is you always feel bad after the fact. When you wake up the next day, you’re like ‘You know what, I probably shouldn’t have done that,’ because you got kids watching. …But [Busch] also shouldn’t have wrecked me on purpose just because I passed him.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. said.

The incident was avoidable and the punch won’t help Stenhouse to end the beef with Kyle Busch anytime soon. While the drivers might not get penalized for the incident, there will be some actions coming for them.
