Ross Chastain, who drives the No.1 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Trackhouse Racing emerged victorious during last week’s race at COTA. But this win came as the result of Ross Chastain pushing A.J. Allmendinger off the track.

A.J Allmendinger was left unhappy after that incident and then said that you’ve got to look into the mirror at the end of the day and if you’re fine, you’re fine with it.

“At the end of the day, you’ve got to look yourself in the mirror, and if you’re OK with it, you’re OK with it,” said A.J. Allmendinger.

Ross Chastain was later questioned about his former teammate A.J. Allmendinger if they spoke after the race to which Ross replied, Yes, we did, it wasn’t as fun as games on TV, and that they handled some stuff off of it and that Allmendinger had more to say than Chastain.

“We did. Yeah, it’s not all fun and games on TV, right. We have to handle some stuff off. Yeah, we did, and he did more talking than I did,” said Ross Chastain

What led to this intense exchange of words between Ross Chastain and A.J. Allmendinger

During the Echopark Automotive Texas Grand Prix, A.J. Allmendinger was the lead racer during the final stages of the race. Followed by Allmendinger was Alex Bowman.  The battle for victory was pretty intense until Ross Chastain appeared behind Allmendinger and Bowman.

Ross Chastain apparently nudged into A.J Allmendinger once before and then during the final moments he pushed him off the track and went on to claim his first Cup Series victory during the Echopark Automotive Texas Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas.

A.J. Allmendinger was pretty unhappy with how the events turned out to be as he dropped from the lead to the 33rd position being the last one to qualify and in the lowest pole position ever acquired by a well-reputed racer.

Will Ross Chastain’s moves for victory define the new racing status quo or will it change and go back to being fair and square without quarrels between the drivers.
