The 2024 NASCAR season witnessed history, as Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson became the first driver since Kurt Busch in 2016, to attempt the iconic double. He drove for McLaren in the Indy 500 and secured the rookie of the season award. Unfortunately, a rain delay ruined his plans, and he failed to run in the Coca Cola 600.
Kyle Larson will have another shot at finishing the double this season, with the same team at helping him at the Indy 500. The Double dream, that the Chevy driver has almost full filled, is something many racers in the garage dreaming to experience. One of the many racers who have an Indy 500 start as a goal in Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain.
In a recent interview, Ross Chastain shared his dreams about racing at Brickyard. He pointed out that Larson is a freak of nature and asserted that it takes something special to finish top-10 in Indy on the first start. Trackhouse boss Justin Marks knows about the dream and the racer is working on making the dream possible, potential with the help of his boss.
Ross Chastain is also interested in a 24 Hours of Daytona entry
In the same conversation, Chastain also shared his dream of racing in the 24 Hours of Daytona. It’s on top of his bucket list and he would have had the opportunity in 2025, as Trackhosue is racing in the event. But Marks and team had a much-experienced line-up and didn’t add Chastain in it. But the racer isn’t disheartened by it and is looking into working out something in the future.
The comments from Ross Chastain shows he really wants to race in the Daytona event. It will be interesting to see if the star driver can ever make his dream possible. Having the support of Trackhouse Racing will benefit Chastain.
