Coming into the 2024 season, Ross Chastain had a lot of expectations after having a less impressive sophomore season with Trackhosue Racing. But he yet again faced disappointment, as he failed to win a race in the regular season and missed out on the playoffs, while his teammate Daniel Saurez made it into the last-16 owing to a sole win at Atlanta.

Though Ross Chastain bounced back and scored a win in the Kansas II race, it wasn’t enough to end the disappointment over missing out on the playoffs. Recalling the experiment about not getting into the playoffs, Chastain admitted that not having the windshield banners and the playoffs stickers gave them a terrible feeling. He is determined to make sure this doesn’t happen again for the No:1 team.

When the 1 team, something as simple as the windshield banners and the playoffs stickers aren’t on the car, it was terrible…I don’t ever want to feel that again and I’ve worked really hard since then to not ever let that happen again.

Ross Chastain told Bob Pockrass.

So going into the 2025 season, Ross Chastain pointed out that he is looking for the opportunity that is ahead of him and try to take every chance to get the best results.

When we’re on the pre-race stage, and we walk out, it’s the first time that the season’s starting. So much opportunity is right there in front of me, and I get to try to take it.

What Justin wants us to do is win. I know everybody says that and it’s easy to say it and it’s not as simple as putting a part on the car, but investing in the right people, investing in the right tools for the people to use. And those people making the right decisions, or the best decisions they can make, are going to be crucial.

Ross Chastain said.

The comments from Ross Chastain shows he is confident in the direction Trackhosue Racing is in going into the 2025 season and hopes of getting back to being in the championship contention. It would be interesting to see how they will perform in the upcoming season.
