Bubba Wallace is a NASCAR Cup Series race winner once again. The 23XI Racing star emerged victorious in the Brickyard 400 on Sunday after an incredible performance. He becomes the first African-American to win the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. After his win, Ryan Blaney and Daniel Suarez decided to give Wallace a taste of his own medicine.

The 31-year-old has gained a reputation of spraying water at his colleagues to celebrate their victories in NASCAR. Blaney and Suarez are the biggest victims in this regard as the three share a close bond on and outside the field. This time however, it was Bubba Wallace‘s turn to feel the chills.

The entire Cup field came to congratulate Bubba Wallace on his impressive victory at one of the most iconic racing tracks in the world. Though, Ryan Blaney and Daniel Suarez waited for the right moment before pouring water on the 23XI Racing driver on two different occasions. Wallace laughed on both instances and went on to hug his two rivals. Certainly, a feel-good moment for everyone involved.

This race victory was much-needed for Bubba Wallace. The 31-year-old has now secured a spot in the Playoffs after being on the points cut-off line for the past few weeks. Moreover, this is Wallace’s first Cup win since his 2022 triumph in Kansas, ending a winless streak of over 100 races.

Bubba Wallace ecstatic to return to Victory Lane

The 23XI Racing star took an emotional win at Indianapolis. The 31-year-old managed to hold off Kyle Larson to make his way to Victory Lane. After winning the race, Bubba Wallace shared an emotional celebration with his wife and son, one which won the heart of every NASCAR fan. The celebration showed how much this win meant for Wallace.

Bubba Wallace admitted that he was completely worn out following the race. The Red flag made things even more challenging as the 31-year-old tried to stay in the lead. The Toyota driver was grateful to the entire 23XI crew that has continued to support him. Wallace reckoned that he was proud to get his crew back to Victory Lane after almost three years. He even welcomed his son Becks Wallace to Victory Lane.

I’m worn out. I thought things every which way besides driving a race car during that red flag … The adrenaline rush is crazy! I want to thank all these people behind me, all the men and women of Airspeed for making this possible. Welcome to victory lane, Becks (son)! It’s pretty cool. To overcome so much and to put these people in victory lane, that’s what it’s all about. These people keep pushing me, believing in me. Man, just so proud. Thank you!

Bubba Wallace said, as quoted by Motorsport.com.

Certainly, Bubba Wallace has proven his worth yet again. The 23XI Racing star will finally make his way to the Playoffs this year without any further doubts. However, the real challenge for the 31-year-old will begin now. It’s crucial for Wallace to not only carry forward this momentum but avoid any mistakes in the business end of the season.
