Tony Stewart states that he has always been pushing his teams’ spirits and limits by cheering and motivating them that they can do better and urges them to not let their hopes down. He also added saying that he and his team have been working day in and day out to improve in every aspect and that he has good people around him who strive to do better each time. He further stated that he doesn’t have to be a lone warrior and he’s not the one that gives orders every time and if the people think that the cars are bad, it’s BS because it’s evident enough with this years’ performance.
“From my standpoint, I’ve got to be a cheerleader and remind these guys that they can do it, that they have the talent, that we have the right group of people, and keep them motivated. Don’t let them get down, I have good people around me. I have great resources with Ford. We have a great OEM on the NHRA side that supports us on the drag race side and we have people in place to help me with all of this,” said Tony Stewart.
“I don’t have to be a one-man-band and I’m not the one that calls all the shots all the time. So people thinking that the cars are running bad, that I’m not doing my part, is BS. And it showed that this week,” Tony Stewart added.
Stewart Haas Racing will enter the newly reconfigured Atlanta Motor speedway Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 with their drivers Chase Briscoe, who will start on pole, Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola on Sunday hoping to continue the winning momentum and cement a place in playoffs.
