Austin Dillon is facing a lot of heat after he won the Richmond Cuyp race under controversial circumstances. After finding himself in a wrong spot in the overtime restart, the desperate RCR driver wrecked race leader Joey Logano and soon after Denny Hamlin on the final corner to secure the victory.
While there are some personals in the racing community that is defending Austin Dillon, asserting many drivers has gotten away from doing the same in the past, most are questioning the ethics of it. His former teammate and 23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick is really frustrated with how the finish played out.

“I’m worried about what this does for the young kids watching the sport. My kid thinks this is okay because #NASCAR thinks this is okay.”
“I was his teammate for years. I know him well. I know what I saw.”
He pointed out that if NASCAR is letting these action slide, its going set a dangerous precedent. Reddick believes the young kids growing up watching the races is getting a bad example, making him concerned about it. The No:45 Toyota driver wet on to assert that the wreck was blatant as he knew Dillon enough as they were former teammates.

Tyler Reddick asserts what Austin Dillon said is wrong
The Toyota driver in the same interview went on to admit that the whole incident at Richmond was crazy. He pointed out that though he understands the desperate situation the No:3 team was in, right hooking someone for a win isn’t the way to do.
Just crazy sh*t, honestly. I know how important it is to win races. The position he’s in, I think 32nd in points. So, I understand it, but they’ve always told us right hooking people is not the way to do it.Tyler Reddick said.
The TRD driver makes a solid point with how NASCAR reaction would affect the young generation of racers. If NASCAR let it go, then the junior scene would become more chaotic than it is and the ethics of the sport will be in question in the future.
