The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been best Cup season ever for 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick, who proved to the garage why Michael Jordan invested millions into signing him from Richard Childress Racing. He secured the team their maiden title with the regular season championship wins and made it into the championship-4.

But unfortunately, Tyler Reddick couldn’t perform on a level expected from him in the season finale, and was able to secure a P6 finish, lowest of the chasers. But he isn’t to downbeat on how the situation played out as he believes they didn’t everything they needed to, but it wasn’t meant to be their day as Joey Logano clinched the title.

We put up a good fight. We didn’t make any mistakes that took ourselves out of it. We fought as hard as we could. We made the car better throughout the day. We did what we needed to do.

Tyler Reddick said via RACER.

He pointed out that the No:45 Toyota lacked pace during the restarts and it gave his rivals enough time create a big enough gap. Reddick added that he did everything in his control without mistakes and but couldn’t do enough about things he can’t control.

Unfortunately, we just didn’t have the speed or the restarts we needed to get ahead and hold those guys up, or really put up a fight there at the very end. If we got the restarts, we could make old moves and most of the time make something of it. But I feel like with what we could control, we did all we could do.

Tyler Reddick is determined to show up better next season

While further talking about the point, Tyler Reddick pointed out that things didn’t go as expected for him Sunday, so he has now shifted focus towards the next-season. He is looking forward to work on the car during the off-season to produced better result in the 2025 season.

You keep telling yourself in the car, ‘Anything can happen — a caution could come, you’ve got to stay ready.’ And when the checkered flag finally fell, the year is over, it’s time to re-gather yourself, reset, and think about what you need to work on in the off-season to show up better in 2025 than how you left 2024.

Tyler Reddick said.

But as things stands it will not be easy for 23XI Racing in the 2025 season, as they don’t even have a charter because of their refusal to sign the new deal and legal battle with NASCAR. It would be interesting to see how things would playout for the racer in the coming months.
