While Reddick battles for his position in the playoffs, his son is currently admitted to the ICU, fighting for his life. In the past weeks, Tyler Reddick‘s wife, Alexa DeLeon Reddick, shared updates on social media regarding the health condition of their son, Rookie, and revealed what was coming next. The four-month-old baby remained under intensive care as Reddick continues to give it his all on the NASCAR grid. With the Round of 12 eliminator race coming up next, he will surely have to focus on his performance and making the cut to move up the rounds.
Despite being in a difficult spot in his professional career, Tyler Reddick isn’t backing down from his fatherly duties. The 29-year-old provided some good news after a very long time on Rookie and insisted that he’s never seen the kid any happier. Reddick continued that the kid looked bright and colorful, and he continued to gain weight, which was a great sign of being on the road to recovery.
Tyler Reddick claimed that although things were going well right now, he did not hesitate to accept that some of his son’s life’s tougher moments were ahead. Reddick highlighted that the family wasn’t clear about Rookie’s well-being, as there were some things that they needed to get through first. Regardless, the #45 driver is feeling positive to see his child in a much better place for now.
I’ve never seen him happier. His color looks good. He’s gained weight. A lot of things are going well. But yeah, all that being said, some of the tougher moments are definitely ahead. We’re definitely not in the clear. There’s some things that we’ve got to get through first. So, on one hand, I’m really happy, and just it makes me feel great that he’s doing much better right now.

Tyler Reddick reveals ‘hurdles’ before Rookie making a full recovery
Rookie George Reddick was born on May 25 under normal conditions and did not have any complications back then. However, within four months, the newborn had suffered severe health complications and had to be admitted to the ICU. While Tyler Reddick and his wife, Alexa DeLeon, are hopeful of their kid making a full recovery, the former accepted that there were some hurdles upcoming in the young one’s life.

Tyler Reddick asserted that there were definitely some things, essentially hurdles, that would come in Rookie’s way before making a full recovery. The doctors and hospital staff would surely give it their all to help the four-month-old recover to good health and return to his normal ways.
However, Reddick insisted that Rookie would have to fight these hurdles and make a significant recovery before the parents could even think about discharging him from the hospital.
But certainly there’s there’s some things that have to we have we have some hurdles we have to get through first before we’re, even thinking about leaving the hospital or thinking about what comes next.
