Tyler Reddick was one of the many drivers who recently became a father to another child. Amid a challenging 2025 campaign, Reddick and his wife, Alexa DeLeon Reddick, became parents to their second son, namely Rookie George Reddick. The second son hasn’t been in the best of health since birth and has undergone multiple surgeries and medical treatments. Now, the NASCAR star opens up on Rooki’s health following his recent surgery.

Tyler Reddick has been showing extreme mental strength and toughness despite facing such a difficult time in his parenthood. The 23XI Racing star braced for some difficult moments in his life in recent months, keeping in mind Rookie’s health.

Even his wife provided a long-awaited update on the son’s health following one of the many surgeries that he has undergone. Now, after the culmination of the 2025 season, Reddick will have a lot of time to spend with his family, and most importantly, his recovering son.

Speaking on such a difficult time in his parenthood, Tyler Reddick accepted that one wouldn’t know after seeing the child that he had so many surgeries in his life already. Rookie is already smiling and giggling, which is definitely crazy to see. He insisted that his son had surgery to remove the tumor and prevent his heart from failing. The seven-month-old kid recovered quickly from the surgery, which was a great sign.

So, poor little guy had to have surgery to have the tumor and ended up having this getting removed; he recovered very quickly from the surgery. Yeah, you wouldn’t know it; you wouldn’t think he had surgery like a week and a half ago, maybe two weeks ago. He’s might be crazier than both; I can’t believe I’m saying that, yeah.

Reddick accepted that he couldn’t believe his son was so healthy now, just a couple of weeks after the surgery. Further, Tyler Reddick applauded his son for handling the entire surgery and the process like a champ. Even his wife, Alexa DeLeon Reddick, handled it super well and showcased great emotional resilience and strength throughout the entire medical journey.

He handled it like a champ; my wife handled it super well, honestly.

Despite the surgery being successful, Tyler Reddick insisted that there were a couple of things that needed to be checked on the son. Still, Tyler Reddick asserted that the real crazy stuff for his son, Rookie, was behind him now. He continued that he had suffered from a lot already. Nevertheless, Reddick was super glad for the consistent love and support from the family and friends in this difficult parenthood journey. The father of two still has hope in this matter and will not give up on his son’s health, and will always stay by his side.

I think we still have a couple of other things to see through in regards to, you know, stomach and some other that might be a separate issue he’s dealing with, but the real crazy stuff appears to be behind us. It’s been a lot for us, a lot of others, just really thankful. There are people who have helped along the way, really thankful for family and everybody else; above all else, just super thankful that everything went well, and we’re keeping hope so.
