The NASCAR Cup series race at Watkins Glen was expected to produce some wild moments with hight tire degradation and the flock of road course ringers present for the playoff race. But none expected it be as chaotic as it did, with Go Bowling at The Glen featuring wrecks on the very first lap of the race.

While the lap one incident that took out the defending champion Ryan Blaney was a dramatic incident, it wasn’t the wildest one of the days. The craziest crash of the day happened on the 83ed lap of the race, featuring Blaney’s former teammate Brad Keselowski and championship contender William Byron.

The Ford and chevy drivers were involved in a tree way battle, when they were forced into a three wide situation by Keselowski’s former teammate Joey Logano. The No:22 Penske driver made contact with the RFK Racing Ford and No:24 Chevy at the same time. This resulted in both drivers being send to the wall while Logano slipped out.

Byron’s front left got air born and his tier got stuck in the window of Keselowski car. When both the cars came to a rest, the No:24 tier was in the No:6 car. Byron went onto finish P34 because of the crash while Keselowski has to settle with a P26. Logano on the other hand secured a P15 finish and some solid points.

Brad Keselowski’s crew called out Joey Logano for the incident

The RFK Racing No:6 team crew was furious with Logano for causing the incident. Their frustration is valid considering the fact that they had a car capable of producing a solid race, as RFL’s second driver Chris Buescher proved it by winning the event.

Soon after the incident, Brad Keselowski had a radio conversation with his crew chief and spotter over the incident. When the veteran driver asked what happened, they put the blame on Joey Logano, claiming he wiped the No:6 car out.

Brad Keselowski: What the hell happened there?
Matt McCall: Your buddy Logano ran over you.
TJ Majors: leaned out by Joey, 100%.

Logano and Keselowski will most probably will have a conversation about the incident, as it ruined RFK’s race.  The veteran driver will be hoping to move on and focused on maximizing the result next-week at Bristol to secure a R-12 berth.
