Nate Diaz is never one to mince words and has a blunt personality and straightforward approach. His latest comments on a potential MMA fight against Jake Paul remain no exception. In the past, Diaz rejected $10 – $15 million to fight Paul in the PFL.
While promoting a boxing fight against Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz entertained questions about his decision to reject an MMA fight against Jake Paul. Diaz reacted to it and said he wasn’t the one to turn it down. The Stockton native insinuated that Paul didn’t take him up on his offer to rematch in the boxing ring. Moreover, he took a shot at PFL as well.
I didn't turn it down. He didn't take my offer. No PFL. PFL is selling two tickets and get two free. That's what Dana said.Nate Diaz via MMA Fighting
Nate Diaz was critical of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). He said he would never fight in the PFL because it lacks the reach of the UFC. Diaz repeated Dana White’s claim of PFL selling two tickets to give away two free. This criticism hurt the PFL’s popularity in the MMA world.
Those familiar with Diaz’s history know he never avoids a challenge. He has fought more dangerous fighters like Benson Henderson, Conor McGregor, Leon Edwards, and Rafael dos Anjos among others. Diaz has not ducked Paul in any way. He refuses to fight Paul in the PFL and will entertain an MMA bout unless it happens in the UFC.
Nate Diaz will never even consider fighting in the PFL
Nate Diaz made it evident he was not interested in going to the PFL. This meant he would not mind missing out on a big payday against Jake Paul, the YouTuber turned boxer. His lack of interest showed his disregard for the organization.
Nate Diaz recently made it crystal clear that he has zero interest in taking his talents to the PFL. He showcased his disregard for the organization with his disinterest. Diaz took to X to voice his displeasure with the organization. He said that he would never even consider going to PFL. Diaz believed that PFL was a huge downgrade from the elite UFC. He considered it a ‘minor league.’ This is what he tweeted:
Im good I’d rather fight real fighters. And never back track to the minor leagues p**syFL. Fight urself dipsh*t.

Diaz has never been one to chase the easy money or take the path of least resistance. He is a true fighter that likes to brawl. This was evident in his fight against Leon Edwards. He shook Edwards with a punch, but he started taunting him instead of capitalizing on it. That gangster mentality extends to his choice of fight promotions as well.
It’s a bold stance, to be sure, but it’s also one that’s sure to endear Diaz to his legion of die-hard fans. After all, the guy has built his entire career on being the ultimate MMA renegade, and he’s not about to start compromising that reputation now.
