The long-standing rivalry between Nate Diaz and Team Khabib has been a hot topic in the MMA world for years. It’s no secret that the Stockton native has little love for Khabib Nurmagomedov or his successor, Islam Makhachev. Recently, this feud has escalated, keeping fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter.
Nate Diaz recently clashed with Islam Makhachev, leading to a chaotic altercation involving bottle-throwing that grabbed headlines. Later, Makhachev revealed they had previously met in an elevator, describing the encounter as respectful and without tension. However, Diaz later shared his perspective and accused the champion of lying.

When Islam Makhachev dismissed Nate Diaz’s criticism
Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov have been at odds since when both fighters were active fighters. They never got to share the octagon, but still developed animosity towards each other. The Stockton native never liked the Dagestani fighting style and labeled it boring.
Diaz has consistently discredited all the achievements made by Team Khabib over the years. At UFC 284, when Islam Makhachev won a close contested fight against Alexander Volkanovski, Diaz made sure to show his disappointment. When asked about this during the press conference, the Dagestani gave a befitting reply.
Honestly, I don’t wanna talk about this guy. Maybe he smoke something and watched the fight.
