Jon Jones has been regarded as the greatest fighter to ever step inside the octagon. The heavyweight champion has never lost other than the unfortunate DQ loss. On top of that, the fighter has never been knocked down. However, according to UFC veteran Carlos Condit, that might not be the absolute truth.
Carlos Condit recently appeared at the JAXXON Podcast where he talked about training with Jon Jones back in the day. The ‘Natural born Killer’ talked about sparring with Jones when he was skinny and not in his prime. According to the UFC veteran, he has seen Jones getting dropped by a fighter in sparring.
Well, the same guy f**ked me up the round right before too… One morning, I think it was like a Tuesday morning, like, 9 AM sparring, you know we’re in there tipping and tapping and we get this dude – I don’t know if you guys ever heard of Adlan Amagov… He was a spinning back kick guy, and he f**ked me up. I think a round or two later, he hit Jon with that spinning back kick and dropped him

Adlan Amagov is a former UFC fighter, who has participated in two fights in the promotion back in 2013. Before that, Amagov had also competed in StrikeForce, and has fought many MMA legends. The Chechen fighter had incredible striking, and was known for brutally knocking out his opponents.

However, after fighting for years, Amagov was tired of cutting weight and left MMA in order to spend time with his family. It is a story similar to fellow Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, who left UFC in his prime. There is no way to confirm it, but Amagov might be the only one to floor Jones.

However, some fans want to see the mega fight between Jones and Alex Pereira. The Brazilian superstar is currently on a dream run, and has shown interest in moving up to fight Jones. In a recent interview, the UFC heavyweight GOAT, Stipe Miocic, talked about this dream match-up and shared his opinion.
Oh, I think he [Alex Pereira] does well, you know. He’s a big strong guy, you know, he hits, kicks hard. I think he’ll do well.

Miocic recently fought Jones and lost to him via TKO at UFC 309. However, in his last outing, the Cleveland native was in his 40s, and didn’t look sharp at all. Many fans wanted Jones to either fight Pereira or Tom Aspinall. Nevertheless, fans are excited about what’s next for MMA GOAT as Dana White has promised the dream fight against Aspinall.
