“A force to be reckoned with”: Draymond Green believes Ja Morant should be in the MVP conversation rather than the MIP

Draymond Green is a unique player for all the talents and skills he holds around himself as he is one of the most important piece of Golden State Warriors who has every play of the team revolving around himself. When it comes to keep a opinion or view in front Draymond makes sure he is heard loud enough as most of the times everything he says or gives a opinion on is very correct and not out of context. He also runs a podcast known by the name “The Draymond Green Show” where he frequently uploads his views and takes regarding the events going on and around in the league.
Draymond recently posted a video where he was seen appreciating Ja Morant for his run so far this season. Ja Morant has been unreal this season as just in his third year in the league he is drawing legendary comparisons from legendary players and leading the Memphis Grizzlies to a great run. The Memphis Grizzlies under Ja’s leadership are ranked as the 3rd seed in the western conference with the record of 31 wins and 16 losses at .660 as the team recently had a 11 games winning streak.
Ja Morant has been letting the league know that he has launched himself in for every conversation and he will be dominating every time he wants to. Recently he shut downed teams like Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets and many other contenders which resulted in coming up as a contender itself. Draymond Green in his podcast keeping in view all this important points and facts promoted the unexpected run of Ja Morant to MVP considerations and not MIP as he is far better for that award.

Draymond Green on Ja Morant
Draymond Green on Ja Morant’s run this season in his podcast quoted: “Hell no, Ja is not going to get Most Improved, Miles Bridges should get Most Improved. The reason I don’t think Ja should get Most Improved is because Ja (this year) didn’t just become Ja. We knew last year Ja was serious. We knew he was going to be a force to be reckoned with. Now, has he improved? Absolutely. You can tell he lives in the gym and works on his game. He’s 100% improved. What I love most is those guys on that team follow him. They follow his demeanor. He leads that team and that organization. And that’s what I appreciate most about Ja Morant. When I say ‘hell no’, in my opinion, Ja has already passed that. Let’s talk about the MVP conversation. That’s the category that I personally feel like Ja Morant needs to be mentioned more in.”
Draymond had a lot to say on Ja as he didn’t really want to cut it in between and start a new controversies. Again whatever he said makes the most sense as Ja Morant this season is been better and that better he no more deserves to be the Most Improved Player. He now deserves to be the Most Valuable Player of the league because of his heroics and god-like performance where he can gift a poster to anyone on any given day. Ja this season is averaging 24.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.4 blocks. This new stat-line is far improved and impressive than what he had last season which somewhere makes him the perfect fit for Most Improved Player award.
But the improvement Ja has made deserves something better than MIP and that is MVP. Draymond correctly recognized it and made sure he is heard like every time. As he promoted Ja for MVP conversation while saying “I believe he is him”. Most of the time Ja was appreciated by Green in the video for the hard work he has put in and the type of player he has become.
