Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook

With the trade deadline approaching on February 10, Russell Westbrook’s fate with the Lakers was hanging by a thread named LeBron James and Anthony Davis. To those who are not aware, it was the latter pair of Hollywood who encouraged the team managed to make a move for Westbrook before the start of the current season. But as things have turned out, it has been a downhill road for the former MVP.

That being said, a moment was captured in Lakers’ most recent home game against the Bucks wherein in the dying second Russell Westbrook could be evidently seeing bidding farewell to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Both these spoken off players have defended the triple-double master on numerous occasions so far, yet it seems like they have had enough of him now. And want their team to seriously make a move for the playoffs berth, as we approach the All-Star game in Cleveland.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed Brodie for a gigantic offer of $44 Million, but he hasn’t been able to justify his high-price tag for once. And as the Lakers suffered another heavy defeat at home even, they were able to make a late surge, LeBron and Davis searched for help in Westbrook. However, like always, he couldn’t deliver.

The Lakers were down by as many as 30 points, a late surge saw them close the lead to 10 points with more than 3 minutes of the last quarter remaining. However, with the team in need of inspiration Westbrook only managed to register 10 points against his name (overall).

That being said, so is the breakup between Westbrook and Lakers official? Or at least known to the parties by now? Remains to be seen as things get mightily interesting as we approach the trade deadline with just over 35 hours remaining. Interestingly, what will be even more important to witness, is what changes the Lakers are going to make to support the scoring prowess of LeBron and AD?
