Aliyah played college basketball at South Carolina University where she met her boyfriend Tre-Vaughn Minott. Minott and Boston have a very public relationship, often seen on TikTok and have an account together on the platform.
Aliyah Boston declared for the WNBA draft this year, however, Minott is still representing the South Carolina Gamecocks and was in the news after his girlfriend secured the #1 overall pick.

Tre-Vaughn Minott is from Montreal, Canada. He went to the same university as her girlfriend, Aliyah Boston, which is in South Carolina. The couple started dating in 2020 after meeting at school. Additionally, they have a combined TikTok account with the username “2 tall humans 4 / TikTok,” which is described as “simply two tall humans having fun.” Before committing to the South Carolina Gamecocks, Tre-Vaughn Minott also took part in the NBA Academy Latin America in Mexico City in 2019. He is currently the South Carolina Gamecocks’ center.

Minott and Boston met in the hallways of the South Carolina University and their relationship started from there. When he noticed Boston, he approached her directly and cracked a joke, which caused her to laugh. They locked gaze and he was immediately aware of his feelings. Minott retold the tale while giggling in joy as he always relished speaking about his talented girlfriend.
Minnot spoke to The State about his relationship with Boston and said – “You’re making me smile. It was out of nowhere. … It was, ‘Hey, let me tell you a joke.’ And that’s it. Just from there. We laugh about it every day. Every single day. It was just like an instant spark.” Minnot might not be as talented a hooper as Boston but definitely managed to win her over with his humor.

When Tre-Vaughn joined USC soon after the pandemic, his basketball career had not garnered as much recognition as that of his girlfriend. Frank Martin, a former coach of the Men’s USC Basketball Team, sought him out. Despite being extremely out of shape, Minott did a good job of overcoming his challenges. Minott’s career was not as successful as Boston’s, and the men’s team just did not have the same level of success.
Minott participated in the FIBA U-17 championships in Argentina in 2018 and averaged two points, two rebounds and one blocked shot (avg. 11 minutes per game). For the University of South Carolina he played 14 games with just two starts, averaging two points and two rebounds per game while shooting 81.3 percent from the floor in the 2023 collegiate season.
